Maureen Lipman

Freemasons’ of Dublin Fund-Raise for Our Lady’s Hospice Harold’s Cross

“An Evening with Maureen Lipman”

Sunday 3rd February saw the Metropolitan Board of The Freemasons of Ireland organise a very special evening of entertainment from which the entire proceeds circa €16,000 went to assist the Hospice with their work.

Maureen Lipman, internationally famous Actress & Comedienne regaled a packed Tivoli Theatre and kept the entire audience laughing for a full two hours. In addition to her wonderful talent as a raconteur, her mastery of different accents, her ability as a singer, and above all her kind a generous personality completely won over everyone present. To all of us who were present she was a joy to behold. It was truly wonderful nights entertainment.

Maureen took the opportunity to visit the Hospice on Saturday afternoon with representatives from Dublin Freemasons’. Maureen had photographs taken, spent time and showed great empathy with both patients and staff and endeared herself to all who came into contact with her.

In addition to giving of her own services gratis, she appeared on the Late Late Show and did an interview for the Rattlebag programme on RTE. Both fees from these programmes she generously donated to Our Lady’s Hospice.

We thanks the Freemasons’ of Dublin for their generosity in putting together this memorable event in support of Our Lady’s Hospice Harold’s Cross.
