 Grand Master’s Millennium Golf Cup  2001

Competition Rules 

1. Participants will need to register as members of  The Freemasons’ of Ireland       Golfing Society’  for the year 2001 on payment of £10 Sterling, when an official Membership Card will be issued.  A Registration Fee will be payable in successive years. Registration Forms may be obtained from Lodge Secretaries, Provincial Grand Lodge Secretaries, the Grand Secretary or the Competition Secretary as listed below.

2. The competition will be played over 18 holes under GUI  rules on a ‘Stableford’ basis on ‘Approved Golf Courses’ of the Player’s Choice. 

            The Qualifying period will be from 1st March to 17th August 2001 (incl.)

3. No official cards will be issued.   Participants may return their best  cards for qualifying purposes during the Qualifying Period. There is no limit to the number of cards returned and no restriction to Irish Golf Courses only!  Each card, duly authenticated, is only accepted if the Competitor’s Name, Membership No., and current handicap are appended and details of the Course and Date played are given.

4. Completed cards must be received within 10 days of the date played by:

5. The best 200 competitors will qualify to play in a ‘Grand Final’ on 7th September 2001 at Killymoon Golf Club, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone.  Qualifiers will not be liable for green fees.

6. Queries should be referred to the Competition Secretary and the Committee's decisions are final
