St. John's Close is situated in Virginia, Co. Cavan some 2.5 miles on the Oldcastle Road (see location map). It is situated in a prime position on the shores of Lake Ramor and adjacent to St. Joseph's Nursing Home. It provides secure accommodation for the active elderly in pleasant surroundings and comprises of 26 newly constructed state of the art bungalows and a large Communal Centre.

Each Bungalow consist of an entrance hall with internal door, bathroom with walk‑in shower, wash basin and w.c. (all fitted to suit the elderly), fitted kitchen (with rear door to back garden), Living/dining room, master bedroom (en suite) and single bedroom. There is also a spacious attic area with loft ladder for easy access.

Each bungalow is fitted with solar heating panels which are supplemented by a gas central heating unit. Both methods supply hot water and warm air.

Each unit will accommodate 1 or two people ‑ either a married couple or single persons.

Open air parking is provided inside the complex for up to 25 cars. Vehicle access is by way of the main entrance to St. Joseph's Nursing Home.

The development was a large walled garden. The walls to the east ,west and north have been retained.

There is also a communal building to the front of the estate with provision for a resident warden.

If a Resident becomes ill and the illness requires short‑term hospital or nursing home care the bungalow will be retained for your return. If however, the illness is of a more prolonged nature then St Joseph's Nursing Home is adjacent to St. John's Close where nursing care can be provided at reasonable charges.

There be Open Days for Inspection - these are scheduled for Saturday 28th June, Saturday 26th July & Saturday 30th August ‑ from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Our staff will be on site to assist you.
