Constitution
& Organisation of the Provincial Grand
Lodge of Antrim
The
County of Antrim constitutes the Masonic Province of Antrim. The Stated
Meetings of the Provincial Grand Lodge are held at Belfast in February on the
4th Saturday and in November or December on the 4th Monday. In the North
Antrim area in April on the 3rd Monday and in the South Antrim area in September
on the 4th Monday.
The Provincial
Grand Lodge of Antrim shall consist of the following Brethren:-

The Provincial
Grand Lodge Officers.

The Past
Provincial Grand Lodge Officers.
|
 |
Honorary Past
Provincial Grand Lodge Officers, who shall rank according to seniority after
the Actual Provincial Grand Lodge Officers of the same rank.

The Master and
Wardens for the time being of each subordinate Lodge in the Province.
|
 |
All Past
Masters who are subscribing members of a Lodge within the Province.
|
Decision Making Process
Communication
between Brethren, Lodges and Provincial Grand Lodge is carried out through
various committees, thereby ensuring that the views of Brethren are freely
expressed, noted and decisions made democratically.
The bodies
concerned are as follows:
The “Cabinet”
:

Consisting of the
Provincial Grand Master, Provincial Deputy Grand Master, Provincial
Assistant Grand Masters, Provincial Grand Treasurer and Provincial Grand
Secretary.

Finance Committee:
|
Consists of the
Provincial Grand Master, Provincial Deputy Grand Master, Provincial
Assistant Grand Masters, the Provincial Grand Treasurer, Provincial
Grand Secretary, the Provincial Assistant Grand Treasurer and the
Provincial Assistant Grand Secretary.
The Provincial Senior and Junior Grand Wardens during their term of
Office.
Six members elected from the Board of General Purposes on the basis of
two from each of the districts making up the Province.
Two members to be nominated by the Provincial Grand Master and serving a
three-year term. It reports to the Provincial Grand Lodge Board of
General Purposes.

Board of General
Purposes :
|
Consists of the
Provincial Grand Lodge Officers as defined above and one Representative
from each of the subordinate Lodges in the Province, who must be a
subscribing Past Master. It reports to the Provincial Grand Lodge.
